If you have purchased an item such as a mug or a plate, it is food safe unless otherwise specified! Do not use items labeled as a vase for food items.

Most food items are microwave and dishwasher safe, with an exception to majolica. Hand wash for longest shelf life.

The majolica forms are made from a low fire terra cotta clay. Since it is low fire, it is still porous. The high heat of the microwave and dishwasher can cause thermal shock in the clay and cause it to break.

You have purchased a form made from a clay with a higher firing temperature than the majority of my wares. These forms require different glazes, so I mark them with a 10 to make sure the correct ingredients go together.
